Lesson 11: Wrap Up

While I enjoyed the process of building a blog and doing the little exercises, I didn’t really learn a lot of new things. I loved finding the Vital Records libguide (and have used it several times since then), and I appreciate the opportunity to play with Hoopla and other SAPL digital offerings. I find that if I don’t use these things for my personal enjoyment, I don’t really have time at work to explore them – that alone makes this project worthwhile. Every staff member should be aware of and know how to help patrons with all the library’s offerings.

I would like a project like this to be more interactive, between staff. Since this was the “test” run, that aspect of it may change once all staff is working on it. I did share a comment or two on other blogs, so that’s a start. I hope that once it opens to all staff that it might lead to conversations on how we can promote library services to all our patrons.
